decide of our attitude at any given moment. Though this freedom finds its
limits in the conditions in which we live in, we are always free to take a
stand and even in the direst situations, to decide what to make of our
existence.
How we use this freedom defines who we are and, as with every great power,
there must also come great responsibility.

Freedom allows for both good and evil. While our society tries to enforce that
nobody falls to the dark side, it remains our responsibility to choose between
the many different shades of good.
Furthermore, this new age of science and technology has expanded our choice
and revealed to us the full scope of our freedom. While our ancestors could
rely on traditions, such as religions, to tell them what they ought to do, we
now stand fully aware of the infinite different ways in which we could live
our lives.

In facing a choice, multiplying the options doesn’t always lead to a better
outcome, for it then requires that we make up our mind and be strong enough to
act. In particular, the former requires a certain level of knowledge that
grows exponentially with the number of options.

In the case of life, some options are attractive at first sight but
disappointing in reality, while others take great courage to choose but offer
immense rewards in the end. Most important, some are unknown to us until we
acquire the knowledge that will reveal them to us.

That’s why I find acquiring knowledge to be one of the most important
pastimes, because it broadens my view and understanding of the world, thus
increasing my opportunities and improving my judgment.

We all have a remarkable potential and we must decide what to make of it.
While some might be satisfied with less than others, many strive for more.
Whatever we decide, we should not forget that everything is possible, so long
as we believe, and put in the mental effort to become what we ought to be.

It is our responsibility to choose what’s best for us, our loved ones, and
the world.
Things don't always go swimmingly.

Sometimes I fail. It is not fun. At least not when it has just happened.

But over the years I have learned a few steps that help me to deal with this in a
smarter and healthier way than just feeling sorry for myself for weeks or letting
the failure hold me back from taking action again for months.

1. Just be with what you are feeling.

When you fail it will most often hurt. Oftentimes a bit, sometimes quite a bit.

And that is OK. Don't try to paint it over with a smile. I have at least found in my
life that it works better to just be with what I am thinking and feeling. To try to
accept it, to let it in and to hurt for a while instead of trying to reject it all and to
keep it away.

Because when you let it in and accept it will go faster and in the long run less be
painful to process what has happened.

If you reject how you really feel then those emotions will pop up at unexpected
times later on and can make you moody, pessimistic, angry or sad.

Just being with your feelings and accepting them is however not a license to start
feeling sorry for yourself or going deep into the victim role for the next two weeks
or months though.

It is one of the steps forward from what has happened.

2. Remind yourself that failure is a temporary thing.

When you have failed it is very easy to start thinking that you will always keep
failing in this area of your life. It is easy to start thinking that you are indeed a
failure.

Don't fall for such a destructive self-fulfilling prophecy.

Instead, remind yourself that just because you failed today or yesterday does not
mean that you will fail the next time.

The truth is that this won't last for the rest of your life if you keep taking action
and it does not label you as some kind of failure.

Seeing what is negative as a temporary thing instead of something permanent is
an essential key to an optimistic attitude and to living a life of fully exploring your
own potential.

3. Remind yourself that you will not be able to do things perfectly or
do them 100% of the time.

Don't set perfectionist ideals because then it will feel like you are always failing in
some way or that you are not good enough.

Instead, focus on improvement.

Focus for example on eating healthy or staying optimistic 80% of the time at first.
Then, later on, aim at doing it 90% of the time.

This is healthier for you and your optimism and self-esteem. And it is a more
realistic approach because failure is a natural part of life (especially if you go
beyond your comfort zone).

4. Find the constructive path forward.

The previous steps help me to move from the initial hurt to rekindling my
optimism. In this final step more fuel is added the fire of optimism and action is
taken to start moving forward again.

What I have found to work really well to do that is to ask myself a few questions
like these:

What is one thing I can learn from what has happened?

What is one thing I want to do differently the next time?

What is one small step I can take to more forward today?

You may find more than one thing that you can learn, that you want to do
differently or steps you can take to move forward.

But focus one just finding one for each question at first so you don't get stuck in
procrastination because you may feel that answering with a whole list of things for
each question becomes too hard.

Have an optimistic week!

Have you reached that all-important and often frightening moment
when you realize that your business needs more money to get to the next
level?

Whether you’re attempting to borrow a few thousand bucks from Mom
and Dad or you want to ask total strangers to pony up several million,
you’d better have your ducks in a row before you ask. In other words,
you’d better have a business plan.

People have differing views about the import of business plans. I’ve
even heard some venture capitalists say they’re not worth the paper
they’re written on. Instead, they prefer just an executive summary.
Nonetheless, being able to describe your business, the industry you
operate in and the potential market for your company is downright vital.
And you won’t generally address all of those aspects until you actually
sit down and write up a plan.

Here’s a checklist of the minimum information you should have in the
plan, along with some nice-to-haves that will increase your chances of
getting a “yes” to that dollar request.

An executive summary: This enables potential
investors to quickly determine whether it’s worth their while to read
your entire plan. Therefore put as much effort as you can into making it
a strong pitch to keep reading.

Company overview: The main purpose of your company,
including products and services as well as any proprietary technology
or other unique features. This is also a good place to include
information on the company’s history so far.

Company mission and vision: This is the biggest
picture for your company — the “why” behind what you do.

Investment rationale: Simply, how much you want and
what you’re going to do with it.

Market and competition analysis: This covers the
size of your market and who your competitors are for your product or
service.

Marketing plan: This is the four Ps of marketing —
product, price, place and promotion. Remember that you’ll want to prove
that you know how to generate revenue for your business.

Organization: The structure and location of your
organization are important measures of how well you’ve planned for
future growth. This can be a simple organization chart with short
explanations of roles, along with the address of your operation.

Management team: Your expertise and the skills and
background of your team members can mean the difference between a yes or
no on funding. Even if your experience is limited, talk about anything
that makes you and your team — if there is one — uniquely suited to make
your company a success.

Operations: How your organization runs. Consider
using a flow chart.

Project execution: Do certain projects need to be
completed before you can generate revenue? List them here with a plan
for getting them done.

Risk analysis and mitigation: This is the section
where you show that you are aware of the risks and have thought about
how to deal with or eliminate them.

Financial plan: In this section, you’ll need to
layout your funding structure, which tells investors where they fit in
the equity of your company. You’ll also need to list your expected
start-up costs, along with financial projections for the first five
years. It’s helpful if you can offer a realistic estimate of when you
will break even and start generating profits.

secure 9 to 5 job and become an entrepreneur, this is not the post for
you. Being an entrepreneur is great and I wouldn’t trade it for a desk
job, but there are some things aspiring (or existing) entrepreneurs
should know.

#1 You’re going to be insanely successful. You are
not the next Mark Zuckerberg. Sorry, you’re not and I’m not. If you have
the idea that you’re going to sit down and create the next Facebook and
be worth billions of dollars in seven to 10 years, it’s not going to
happen. Am I saying it’s not good to dream big? No. I’m saying there is
only one Facebook and only one Mark Zuckerberg in this world.

#2 Entrepreneurs have a very flexible work schedule.
They can work three to four hours a day and have plenty of time to goof
off. I know I’m not alone when I say that entrepreneurs don’t have the
luxury of ending our workday abruptly at 5pm. When you own your own
company or work for someone who does, you have to put in the extra hours
and the extra effort to make things happen. If you aren’t ready to work
some pretty long days, you probably aren’t cut out for being an
entrepreneur.

#3 Entrepreneurs can take off when they want --
after all, you’re the boss, right? Remember all those times you used to
be able to party on random nights of the week or just take off for a
weekend with your friends? Not if you want to keep your business afloat
the first year (or two, three, four, etc). Now I’m not saying you won’t
ever get time off, but most entrepreneurs live, eat and breathe their
businesses and a lot of times partying gets pushed to the wayside.
What’s more important: Doing keg stands with college buddies or
generating income so you can pay bills the next couple months?

#4 Working from home means you’ll have more time for your
relationship, your pets, taking care of your home, etc. Wrong.
Because you work from home, it’s like you live in this constant state of
never finishing anything. You start cleaning the dishes and then think
of a great idea or feature for your company. Instead of taking your
significant other out to a nice meal, you ask to get drive thru so you
can get back to work quicker. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve
looked over at my dog and it looks like he’s crossing his legs because
he needs to go outside (and I love my dog to death!).

#5 Everyone wants to have your job. I’m guessing
it’s because people genuinely don’t love their jobs, but they think you
have this perfect setup where you get to work and play all day long. I
always hear things like “At least you don’t have to deal with a commute”
or “I have so many worthless meetings and calls, you’re lucky”. Do you
want to trade the last three days I worked 18 hours and had to go above
and beyond to appease clients? No, no you don’t.

For all the starving entrepreneurs out there, keep fighting the good
fight. We’re all doing things we love and enjoy, and that’s what
matters. I may not be building the next Facebook, but I am excited about
controlling my own destiny and knowing the harder I work, the more
results I see.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
I consider my feet as the most worn-out parts of the body. Just imagine
how heavy our bodies are which they carry to wherever we feel like going
to, we drag our feet just about anywhere! Ladies, imagine how you try to fit your
feet into those close pointed or stiletto shoes then have them walk to
rough roads, steep stairways, making 'em feel they are being taken
advantage of.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
At the end of the day, your feet feels physically abused,
having calluses and sweaty feet as end result, and if they could only
talk, I swear they want to curse you and say " I don't want to wear
those shoes anymore!! I don't want to walk ever again".

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Our feet deserves some pampering to do. Feet also wants to be treated
dairly. I'm not talking about going to the salon and having you feet
undergo a foot spa from professionals. I'm not talking spending big
bucks here to get a foot treatment.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Yes, you just want your feet to
feel that they are important like the other parts of your body, and it
just sounds right to splurge on having your feet pampered. But then
again, if you can do it at the comforts of your home while curling up on
your couch while reading a good book or while watching tv or mobile Facebook-ing,
why the heck you have to spend extra on something that can be done on
your end, right?

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Feet should really be taken cared of. They say that hygiene of a person can be reflected on how the feet looks. All you need are few low-cost foot products and you're good to go.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
What you need:

<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

Basin/tub with warm water to soak your tired and aching feet

Pumice stone or foot file

Foot scrub

Mositurizer/Lotion

Nail cutter

Bubble bath or liquid soap

Salt

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
How you do it:

<ol style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

SOAK UP AND RELAX!
- Soak your sore and exhausted feet in a lukewarm water. Loosen up and
let your feet stay in the water for 10 to 15 minutes. You can read
magazines or books while waiting, you can even surf the net and create
hubs if you want. Put some salt and liquid soap or your bubble bath.
make it foamy for a soothing effect.

EXFOLIATE DEAD SKIN
- Surely after soaking your feet in foamy warm water, skin has become
so soft and ready to be scrubbed. To exfoliate, use a pumice stone or a
foot file. You can buy such at very reasonable prices on beauty shops.
Put a generous amount of foot scrub on your palm and dab it on your
feet. Scrub the dead skins on the focal points like the heels and toes
which are very vulnerable to calluses and cracks.

MOISTURIZE AND MASSAGE
- After scrubbing off the dead skin cells, rinse your feet and towel it
dry. Then put lotion or moisturizer (moisturizer is better)on your
feet. Include the ankles. Massage your feet using yout fingertips,
making your feet more relaxed than ever

CUT AND POLISH
- Your almost done! For the final touch, cut your toe nails and polish it. There, you got a set of "Happy Feet!".

On April 22, 1970, Earth Day marked the beginning of the modern
environmental movement. Now celebrated in about 180 countries world-wide
every year. It is coordinated by the nonprofit Earth Day Network, and
is now "the largest secular holid...ay
in the world, celebrated by more than a half billion people every
year." It is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for
the Earth’s environment.

"Go Green" your lifestyle and
appreciate the beauty of nature. What we can do about it? a simple
changes to your lifestyle will have a positive impact on the

Earth Day
is the perfect time to think outside the box. What are the consequences
of our choices? What products are better for the earth? What should we
avoid?

Here are a few suggestions:

Buy locally grown food. Take some time to visit
local Farmers Markets

Change at least one light bulb to
a compact fluorescent. Those qualified to ENERGY STAR use about a quarter
as much electricity as a conventional light bulb to produce the same amount
of light.

Take a walk on the wild side. Go for
a day hike on a local nature trail and revel in the beauty and serenity
you're trying to preserve for future generations.

Turn off your computer when you're

18 months & 3 simple, not-so-simple steps to $1 billion...

Today, Instagram sold to Facebook for $1 billion. A week ago, when TIME
asked Instagram founder, Kevin Systrom, if he would sell the company,
he said “It’s not really on the top of our minds right now.”

Kevin is 27 years old and started Instagram 18 months ago with Mike
Krieger, in October 2010. The company has grown with just 4 staff, and
today has just 9 in the team. With the $1 billion deal that was
announced today, was Kevin just plain lucky, or was there some simple
steps that he (and others who have had the same luck) have in common?

Here’s three steps he followed. They may not guarantee you exactly the
same success - but they will increase your own good fortune:

1. THING BIG FROM DAY ONE - THEN LEARN FROM OTHERS:
It was while Kevin was studying at Stanford 7 years ago that he had the
idea of a photo-sharing site, from his passion for photography. That
was before iPhones, and before Facebook. Step one is to cultivate your
idea by learning from others. He met Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 and talked
about his idea. Mark then offered him a job at Facebook, which had just
launched (in hindsight, a cheaper option that the $1 billion he’s just
paid to work with Kevin). Kevin turned him down but they stayed in
touch. He went to intern at Odeo with Evan Williams, who sold Blogger
and Jack Dorsey, who launched Twitter. This is where Kevin got to
understand the power of social sharing. Kevin later said “Comparing
Instagram to photography is like comparing Twitter to Microsoft Word”.

He then went on to work at Google. All in all, it was a full six years
after having the idea of a photo sharing site that he worked with others
leading the field: Getting paid for his own education before he
launched his own start-up. As Kevin says, “I was given the opportunity
to be in the middle of a ton of innovation, and meet some of the
smartest people doing the coolest stuff in the world. When I finally did
it [myself], it just felt so right."

Who could you (and should you) be working with today to lay your own foundation?

2. KEEP 100% FOCUSED ON WHAT PROBLEM YOU’RE SOLVING - AND FAIL FIRST:
When Kevin launched Instagram in October 2010, he explained in his
first blog what problems Instagram intended to solve. He listed the top
three problems users were having:

“My mobile photos look lame.”
“It’s a pain to share to all my friends.”
“Photos take forever to upload.”

How would he know these were the problems? Just by talking to people?
No, by getting it wrong the first time. In early 2010 he launched his
first attempt “Burbn” as a location-based photo app, using Foursquare.
It was a one-man-band, but after a year of hard work it had failed to
catch on. It was, however, a failure that allowed him to learn from his
users what would work, and to attract interest from like-minded people,
including his future co-founder of Instagram, Mike Krieger.

By
focusing on these three problems, Instagram launched in October 2010.
Kevin relates the first moments of launch: “It was 12:15am, October 6th
and we had been working on the app non-stop, day and night for 8 weeks.
With a bit of hesitation, I clicked the button that launched “Instagram”
live to the Apple app store. We figured we’d have at least 6 hours
before anyone discovered the app so we could grab some shut-eye. No
problem, we figured. Within a few minutes, they started pouring in...
The night of sleep we were hoping for turned into a few meager hours
before we rushed into the office to add capacity to the service. Now,
only a couple months later, we’re happy to announce that our community
consists of more than a million registered users.”

What problem are you solving, and what are you learning by failing, that is setting you up for your own overnight success?

3. CUT OUT ALL THE NOISE:
Kevin explains the difference between Instagram and Burbn: “We actually
got an entire version of Burbn done as an iPhone app, but it felt
cluttered, and overrun with features. It was really difficult to decide
to start from scratch, but we went out on a limb, and basically cut
everything in the Burbn app except for its photo, comment, and like
capabilities. What remained was Instagram.”

Kevin cut out all
the noise. He then launched Instagram just on the Apple App Store (It
just came to Android last week) and focused on sharing on Twitter and
Facebook (Three platforms that didn’t even exist when he first had the
idea). That’s it: Photo, comment, like. No other platforms. No other
noise.

Simpler means sharper means easier to cut through the
noise. Instagram went from one million users by Dec 2010 to 30 million
users today. In 2011, Apple named Instagram the “App of the Year”. Why
would Facebook buy it now for $1 billion? Because Mark already knows it
will add more value than that to Facebook when it has its upcoming $100
billion IPO.

If you are already thinking big, connecting smart
and focused at the problems you are solving - How could you solve them
in the fewest number of steps?

A BILLION DOLLAR STORY

It obviously takes more than three simple, not-so-simple steps to get
the pieces lined up and timed right for the kind of 18 month run that
Kevin has had. But these three show up again and again in today’s
stories of hyper-growth, and the ones I will continue to share here on
Facebook and at my Fast Forward events.

As an end to this
chapter of the Instagram story, here’s how Kevin relates the beginning
of his photo-sharing idea. It is at the heart of his journey, as your
story should be at the heart of yours:

“When I studied abroad
my teacher set what I do now in motion by saying, “Give me that camera
of yours.” He took my camera away and gave me a little, plastic camera. I
was studying in Florence at the time and he told me that I wasn’t
allowed to use my camera for the rest of the class. I had to use this
plastic camera with a terrible lens. He said I was too focused on
sharpness and “I feel like you’re more artsy than that.””

“He
said, “I want you to use this Holga,” this plastic camera with a plastic
lens that had this cult following in the ’80s and ’90. I was blown away
by what it could do to photos. My photography teacher was totally
right. I was too focused on being meticulous with these really
beautiful, complex architectural shots. It helps to see the world
through a different lens and that’s what we wanted to do with Instagram.
We wanted to give everyone the same feeling of discovering the world
around you through a different lens.”

It’s ironic that as
Instagram hits a $1 billion value, mimicking the feel of these
disposable cameras, the biggest producer of them, Kodak, has filed for
bankruptcy.

Each wave that crashes is followed by another. The
only question is who is already positioning themselves to surf it. Are
you up for the ride?
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Basically, the whole apartment is decorated in white: white walls, white
furniture, white terrace and so on. Though, the contrast is ensured by
modern accessories and pieces of furniture that are painted in dark
colors. For example, in the kitchen, one chair is black, while the rest
of the kitchen is white, and in the rest of the rooms, the contrast is
being deepen by red pillows or even small black closets or shelves.

Amazing lamp of a waste bin done with your own hands? Of course, it’s
possible.

Wire Waste Basket

You’ll need a wire waste basket, scrapes of fabric of
beautiful color and pattern, a “hemma” cord set from Ikea. You can do it
very easily: snip out a space to feed the cord through.

Cut strips of
fabric to weave and wrap around basket. Weave fabric strip through
basket about every 6 inches.

“Hemma” Cord Set from Ikea

Gives of a pinky glow and some pretty
shadows. That should scare away any monsters. I can’t imagine a simpler
lamp to craft and a thing that would be easier to create.
transcends race. Nasi lemak is a malay name of "spicy coconut rice". There is even a movie in Malaysia that’s chosen Nasi Lemak
2.0 as its name, and it speaks about uniting cultures. “Individually
they are peanuts, anchovies and boil eggs, put all together they make nasi lemak,” said one
actress.

Nasi lemak "Malay Style": the malays used to be a breakfast ritual for the Malays, but is now
eaten even for lunch and supper. The Malay style remains simple and
uncluttered. The rice can be very humble local broken rice, but the
coconut fragrance and spicy sambal tumis more than make up for it. The
supporting cast of crispy anchovies, peanuts, fried or boiled egg, fried
ikan kuning and cucumber also help to make it stellar. Some Malay or
Indonesian stalls may amp it up with fried chicken wings, achar (pickles), and sweet-and-spicy mermaid fish, but the general version just has the few regular ingredients.

Nasi lemak "Chinese Style": the chinese have adopted nasi lemak with great passion, but have
practically turned it into a variant of “chye peng” (rice with dishes).
At Chinese stalls, you’ll often see a mind-boggling array of side
dishes. Fried slices of luncheon meat, sausages, fish cake, fried eggs
with runny yolks, stir-fried vegetables, otah, sambal squid/prawns and
even curries. Everything goes with coconut rice!

However, the coconut rice tends to be less or “lemak” or rich, and the
sambal leans towards sweet rather than spicy. While both Malays and
Chinese like a certain sweetness in their sambal, the Chinese in general
have a lower tolerance for chili heat. So the Chinese sambal tends not
to be as spicy as the traditional ones cooked by Malay families.

Well, such cultural variations only spice up our enjoyment of this dish.
Whether it is simply packed in banana leaf, or sold with an entire
entourage of side dishes, there’s no denying that as a cheap and tasty
meal, nasi lemak is here to stay.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514331316613703235.post-67772864178808042312012-03-15T16:30:00.000+08:002012-03-15T16:30:12.626+08:00Tomato Salad

Here is a recipe for one of the tastiest tomato salads around and easy
to make. I recommend honey tomatoes as they are sweet, juicy and totally
yummy. If you can’t find them, cherry tomatoes also work well with this salad. The ideal tomato for this salad is sweet and very ripe!

What you need:

One handful of red honey tomatoes or cherry tomatoes

One handful of golden honey tomatoes or golden cherry tomatoes

Two cloves of garlic – grated

Handful of sweet basil leaves (Italian not Thai)

A very generous pouring of good quality extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt (Available at Cold Storage or at Supermarkets)

Black pepper

This salad can be prepared in under 10 minutes, from worktop to
table. It can also be made a few hours ahead, if you do this and place
the salad in the fridge make sure to serve it at room temperature – not
cold.
The quality of the extra virgin olive oil is very important, and the
olive oils does lend a lot to the salad in terms of taste. There are
some great Italian and Spanish olive oils available, try to chose an olive oil
that is rich in colour and looks thick in the bottle – do not go for a
pale and watery version for this salad. The olive oil I use has a
greenish tone, a rich and slightly peppery taste and smells delicious.

Method

Wash the tomatoes and chop in half the larger ones, no need to chop
all of them up! Wash and roughly chop the basil – do not include the
stems, mainly for aesthetic purposes. Place into bowl with the tomatoes,
peel and grate the two clove of garlic and add.

Next pour over a generous amount of the olive oil, this is not an
exact science and is best judged by eye. Make sure the tomatoes are
coated, so the whole bowl of tomato salad is glistening with the oil. Glistening, but not drowning in it!

Finally sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and the sea salt. Have a little taste and add more as required.

This is a salad that works really well as a side dish or as a
stand-alone meal. For a side dish you could pair it with grilled chicken
or fish. Enjoy!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514331316613703235.post-54365475072757118352012-02-23T01:04:00.000+08:002012-02-23T01:24:06.131+08:006 Body Signs of Wealth LuckWhat Are the 6 Signs From Your Body That Tells You About Your Wealth Luck

Did you know that you are able to foretell your financial status from the signs your body gives away? By knowing the signs, you will be able to know when you can afford to take more financial risks and when to be more conservative. You can take the information you learn here and use it immediately.

By the time you finish this article, you will have armed yourself against any potential financial problem. Many people make wrong financial decisions because they are trying their luck. You won't have to try your luck after learning this.

The very first sign that you might be losing money comes from your mouth. While you are eating or drinking, if the food is accidentally dropped from your mouth. This is a sign that you might "drop" money within the next 7 to 21 days. However,if you have a double-chin, you will be able to make back the money you lost.

Of course, you can't apply this to a person suffering from a stroke. If you keep dropping your food and water, it may mean that an impending stroke is on its way. In this case, you should quickly seek medical help. Before my granny had a stroke, this was a sign. Anyway, I have went a little off tangent. Let us go back to the main topic...

The second sign is hair coming out from your nostrils. This is very important, If there is hair coming out of your nostrils, it signifies that you will potentially lose money within 7 days. Always check your nostrils hair is well trimmed, cut off all unwanted nostril hair, long nostril hair will look very unpleasant and untidy.

The third sign comes from the area between your nose and mouth. Any ache or blackhead in that area is detrimental to your financial well being. If you have a mole in that area, it means that during your entire life, you are plagued with financial problems. You should remove the mole as soon as possible.

The same applies to your nose. Do remove any moles, blackheads or acne on your nose. For males, their noses represent their wealth luck. For females, their noses represents the wealth luck of their husband. Ladies, if you have any acne or blackhead on your nose, do warn your husband not to take any financial risks, for it is a sign that they might be losing money.

Fourth sign: You keep blinking your eyes for no reason. Blinking eyes is a sign of losing money.Take a look at people who love to habitually blink their eyes, you will discover that their financial luck is always down. If you don't have the habit of blinking your eyes, but suddenly keep blinking your eyes, you should look out for your finances.

Five: Your legs. In olden days young chinese kids are not allow shaking their leg while having their meal or waiting for someone or even relaxing, a signs of bad habit too. Shaking your legs is a sign of losing money. When the branches of a tree are shaken, leaves fall off. The same principle applies. When your legs shake, you are in fact shaking your wealth and money off. So do remember not to keep shaking your legs. If it is still a habit for you, then you probally try to remove this habit the soonest possible. If you don't have this habit of shaking your legs, yet on certain days, you shake your legs for no reason, this is also a sign of losing wealth and money within 1 to 7 days.

The very last sign is the color of your face. A lot of us are mistaken that when your face is red, it is a good sign. That is actually quite wrong. A red face actually means that your wealth luck is down and also your body might be too hot. If your face happens to be red when you wake up in the morning, do quickly drink herbal tea and avoid spicy, fried and barbecued food. This must be the reasons your body is too hot, you might suffer from sore throat or headaches. And also to prevent your wealth luck from being down. Good wealth luck face colour is Yellow. If you face is mild yellow, it means that your wealth luck is very good. You might be making a lot of money and you are financially sound good. In this case, you might be able to take that financial risks because there is a high chance that you might get high returns.

I hope these tips will be very helpfull to you. You don't have to believe it but you need to know these and to notice it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514331316613703235.post-22331414549968463732012-02-23T00:50:00.000+08:002012-02-23T00:51:29.782+08:00The Nine Wealth Features Of The Face

The Chinese believe in lucky and unlucky faces and a great deal is made of the mountains and rivers of the face, which indicate wealth and fortune. Generally the central axis of the face is deemed to be a crucial indicator of a person’s lot in life, and when this appears to balance both sides of the face, the powerful trinity of luck is said to be properly aligned for prosperity.

The first wealth spot
The first wealth spot, the forehead (which also represents the luck from heaven and is the foremost mountain of the face) is round, high, curved and protruding. Such a forehead indicates power, wealth and great authority. A perfect forehead is rare, but as long as this protrudes and looks prominent and wide, good fortune is indicated. A good forehead augments all the other luck features since this also signifies the place of the heavenly celestial dragon. This is a yang spot in the face and means a great deal in terms of one’s luck potential. Look after your forehead and keep it clear of blemishes, spots and unsightly pimples. Use artificial aids to ensure a smooth forehead. Moles on the forehead are acceptable unless they are placed dead in the centre, in which case they should really be removed. Black moles here are deemed to be most inauspicious.

The second wealth spot
The trinity of luck is expressed in terms of tien, ti and ren – heaven, earth and mankind, with man in the centre, located at the middle space above the nose and between the eyes. This is the man spot also referred to as the ‘life palace’. Here the space should be clear, bright and luminous if it is to represent a life of good fortune. There should be no hair, colourings, spots or moles in this area since these collectively or by themselves signify obstacles to one’s luck. When this space is clear and luminous it symbolises a life of affluence and influence.

The third wealth spot
The third wealth spot of the face is the nose. This is deemed a yin spot and it signifies one of the rivers of the face. In the Chinese classic texts on face reading, the nose signifies the river Jie, which brings wealth. The rounder and fleshier the nose looks, the better is the wealth luck indicated. Nostrils should not be too small nor too large. The nose must look balanced and smooth. Spots – white or black – are seen as obstacles, and moles at the tip of the nose are regarded as a major sign of misfortune. The Chinese always regard a big nose with some indulgence, no matter how out of place they look in the overall face. This is because the nose is the repository of money fortune and it indicates wealth from many different sources.

The fourth wealth spot
Directly below the nose is the tip of the lips and if you are deemed to possess the mighty gift of the gab – tremendous prosperity luck from speaking – you will see here what is termed the phoenix pearl. It looks rounded and is protruding, and usually those who have it will probably have had it from childhood. Like the cleft chin or the dimple, the pearl is deemed also to be a beauty spot. It brings good fortune in both men and women. The pearl is considered the fourth wealth feature on the face.

The fifth wealth spot
Directly below the pearl is the mouth, which is considered the second river on the face. It is known as the river Huai. The mouth is deemed auspicious when it is soft and succulent. Irrespective of its size, the mouth must never appear dry, since this indicates loss of luck. As long as the mouth is always moist, it indicates money luck. The mouth is the fifth wealth spot on the face. Moles around the mouth, as long as they are not black, are deemed to enhance the good luck of the mouth and indicate that the person will never lack for good.

The sixth wealth spot
The sixth wealth spot is the second mountain on the face – the chin. This is also the place of earth in the trinity of tien ti ren and is sometimes viewed as the jawline. To be auspicious, the chin should be protruding and prominent. A receding jawline is one sign of misfortune in old age, or it can even be a sign of premature death. A prominent chin indicates a strong base mountain, and this is also suggestive of longevity.

The seventh wealth spot
The seventh wealth spot on the face is the eyes. The eyes are said to indicate great good fortune when they shine and are slightly moist. It does not matter what shape, size or colouring the eyes are – what is most significant is their vitality. When eyes are bright and are well protected by arched eyebrows, life is healthy and prosperous. Eyebrows should never be overly plucked or shaved. When a face lacks eyebrows the person simply cannot climb up the ladder of success. When one eye is smaller than the other, it is a good idea to use artificial aids like eye-liners to correct the imbalance.

The eighth wealth spot
The eighth wealth spot on the face is the cheekbones. In terms of age luck one enters into the center section of the face, which indicates the mature years, at the age of 21. When the cheekbones stand out prominently and appear bright and shiny, it is one of the surest signs that serious wealth luck is about to manifest. Cheekbones should always have flesh and never look bony since this would indicate excessive yang. For cheekbones to appear balanced they must look good enough to pinch!

The ninth wealth feature
The final indicator is the ears. When your ears are well formed and proportionate, they indicate great good fortune and wisdom. They are said to represent the flow of the Yellow River. Remember that face reading is based also on manifestations of yin and yang and clues can also be gleaned by superimposing Chinese trigrams – shapes that make up the hexagrams of the I Ching – on the face. These trigrams, which are made by combining yin and yang lines, are another way of looking at the kind of luck intrinsic to the different parts of the face.

Of the nine wealth features only one is placed in the youth section of the face and two in the old age section. This suggests that our destiny manifests mostly during the time of life between youth and old age – this is named the age of maturity. Thus while face reading gives you a good idea of luck potential, it is essential to note that the bridge between heaven and earth is mankind. It is mankind luck that has the most impact on our destiny as it unfolds. The face over time can undergo change. Mountains can flatten and rivers can run dry. It is vital to stay ever watchful, as much over our physical bodies as over the luck that we are constantly creating for ourselves.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514331316613703235.post-43918150574662363072012-01-24T23:13:00.006+08:002012-01-24T23:35:17.575+08:00Happy People Do It Differently

“I’d always believed that a life of quality, enjoyment, and wisdom were my human birthright and

would be automatically bestowed upon me as time passed. I never suspected that I would have
to learn how to live - that there were specific disciplines and ways of seeing the world
I had to master before I could awaken to a simple, happy, uncomplicated life.”

Studies conducted by positivity psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky point to 12 things happy people do differently to increase their levels of happiness. These are things that we can start doing today to feel the effects of more happiness in our lives. (Check out her book The How of Happiness.)

I want to honor and discuss each of these 12 points, because no matter what part of life’s path we’re currently traveling on, these ‘happiness habits’ will always be applicable.

1.Express gratitude. – When you appreciate what you have, what you have appreciates in value. Kinda cool right? So basically, being grateful for the goodness that is already evident in your life will bring you a deeper sense of happiness. And that’s without having to go out and buy anything. It makes sense. We’re gonna have a hard time ever being happy if we aren’t thankful for what we already have.

2.Cultivate optimism. – Winners have the ability to manufacture their own optimism. No matter what the situation, the successful diva is the chick who will always find a way to put an optimistic spin on it. She knows failure only as an opportunity to grow and learn a new lesson from life. People who think optimistically see the world as a place packed with endless opportunities, especially in trying times.

3.Avoid over-thinking and social comparison. – Comparing yourself to someone else can be poisonous. If we’re somehow ‘better’ than the person that we’re comparing ourselves to, it gives us an unhealthy sense of superiority. Our ego inflates – KABOOM – our inner Kanye West comes out! If we’re ‘worse’ than the person that we’re comparing ourselves to, we usually discredit the hard work that we’ve done and dismiss all the progress that we’ve made. What I’ve found is that the majority of the time this type of social comparison doesn’t stem from a healthy place. If you feel called to compare yourself to something, compare yourself to an earlier version of yourself.

4.Practice acts of kindness. – Performing an act of kindness releases serotonin in your brain. (Serotonin is a substance that has TREMENDOUS health benefits, including making us feel more blissful.) Selflessly helping someone is a super powerful way to feel good inside. What’s even cooler about this kindness kick is that not only will you feel better, but so will people watching the act of kindness. How extraordinary is that? Bystanders will be blessed with a release of serotonin just by watching what’s going on. A side note is that the job of most anti-depressants is to release more serotonin. Move over Pfizer, kindness is kicking ass and taking names.

5.Nurture social relationships. – The happiest people on the planet are the ones who have deep, meaningful relationships. Did you know studies show that people’s mortality rates are DOUBLED when they’re lonely? WHOA! There’s a warm fuzzy feeling that comes from having an active circle of good friends who you can share your experiences with. We feel connected and a part of something more meaningful than our lonesome existence.

6.Develop strategies for coping. – How you respond to the ‘craptastic’ moments is what shapes your character. Sometimes crap happens – it’s inevitable. Forrest Gump knows the deal. It can be hard to come up with creative solutions in the moment when manure is making its way up toward the fan. It helps to have healthy strategies for coping pre-rehearsed, on-call, and in your arsenal at your disposal.

7.Learn to forgive. – Harboring feelings of hatred is horrible for your well-being. You see, your mind doesn’t know the difference between past and present emotion. When you ‘hate’ someone, and you’re continuously thinking about it, those negative emotions are eating away at your immune system. You put yourself in a state of suckerism (technical term) and it stays with you throughout your day.

8.Increase flow experiences. – Flow is a state in which it feels like time stands still. It’s when you’re so focused on what you’re doing that you become one with the task. Action and awareness are merged. You’re not hungry, sleepy, or emotional. You’re just completely engaged in the activity that you’re doing. Nothing is distracting you or competing for your focus.

9.Savor life’s joys. – Deep happiness cannot exist without slowing down to enjoy the joy. It’s easy in a world of wild stimuli and omnipresent movement to forget to embrace life’s enjoyable experiences. When we neglect to appreciate, we rob the moment of its magic. It’s the simple things in life that can be the most rewarding if we remember to fully experience them.

10.Commit to your goals. – Being wholeheartedly dedicated to doing something comes fully-equipped with an ineffable force. Magical things start happening when we commit ourselves to doing whatever it takes to get somewhere. When you’re fully committed to doing something, you have no choice but to do that thing. Counter-intuitively, having no option – where you can’t change your mind – subconsciously makes humans happier because they know part of their purpose.

11.Practice spirituality. – When we practice spirituality or religion, we recognize that life is bigger than us. We surrender the silly idea that we are the mightiest thing ever. It enables us to connect to the source of all creation and embrace a connectedness with everything that exists. Some of the most accomplished people I know feel that they’re here doing work they’re “called to do.”

12.Take care of your body. – Taking care of your body is crucial to being the happiest person you can be. If you don’t have your physical energy in good shape, then your mental energy (your focus), your emotional energy (your feelings), and your spiritual energy (your purpose) will all be negatively affected. Did you know that studies conducted on people who were clinically depressed showed that consistent exercise raises happiness levels just as much as Zoloft? Not only that, but here’s the double whammy… Six months later, the people who participated in exercise were less likely to relapse because they had a higher sense of self-accomplishment and self-worth.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514331316613703235.post-42859662453761162592012-01-24T22:58:00.001+08:002012-01-24T22:58:05.716+08:00Create Your Own Good Luck

Diligence is the mother of good luck.

-Benjamin Franklin

I have great news! Today could be your lucky day. It’s not a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice. Lucky people are ordinary people who create their own good luck by practicing simple luck-producing habits. Here’s what you need to do:

Constantly try new things.
There’s a saying that the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If you want to improve your luck, you have to try new things to see what works and what doesn’t.
Unlucky people tend to be creatures of habit. They take the same route to and from work every single day, talk to the same types of people at social functions, and live out the same routine day in and day out.

In contrast, lucky people try to introduce variety into their lives. For example, one lucky friend I know recently described how he thought of a color before arriving at a business convention and then introduced himself to people wearing that color. This kind of behavior boosts the likelihood of chance opportunities by introducing variety into an otherwise status-quo situation. And in my friend’s particular case, his (somewhat odd) tactic led to a fairly substantial contract deal with a new client.

Think about how lucky you are right now.
Lucky people tend to see the positive side of their ill fortune. They imagine how things could have been so much worse. For instance, I met a rather cheerful, successful and lucky business client recently who showed up to our meeting with a cast from shoulder to wrist on her left arm. She then explained to me how she had fallen down a flight of stairs. “But I am the luckiest person alive,” she continued. “I walked away from that fall with a broken arm instead of a broken neck.”

Another interesting example of this is how research suggests that Olympic athletes who win bronze medals are typically happier than their Silver medalist counterparts. This is because silver medalists think that if they had performed slightly better they might have won a gold medal. In contrast, bronze medalists focus on how if they’d performed slightly worse, they wouldn’t have won anything.

Having a positive outlook on life is a must if you are to become a luckier person. If your outlook on life is doom and gloom, then that’s all you’ll experience. Fortunately, the opposite is also true. You control your luck and your life by controlling your thoughts.

Look around. Appreciate the things you have right now. Many people aren’t so lucky.

Notice little things and solve small problems.
I chatted with an aspiring web application developer recently who was complaining that all the big ideas were being worked on already and that there was nothing groundbreaking left to do. As he talked, I realized he was referencing massive projects that others were working on that seemed mostly out of reach. And as I thought about all these ‘grand ideas’ I realized that in most cases they probably didn’t start with a massive plan or project, but rather started by trying to solve a simple problem.

This is the impression I get when I read about the early stages of companies like Google. I’m pretty sure Google’s founders didn’t have the goal of organizing the all of the world’s information as their primary focus when they first started – instead they started with a series of smaller problems (problems are potential opportunities) and slowly expanded their end goal from there.

Work on things you’re passionate about.
Some of us were born to be musicians – to communicate intricate thoughts and rousing feelings with the strings of a guitar. Some of us were born to be poets – to touch people’s hearts with exquisite prose. Some of us were born to be entrepreneurs – to create growth and opportunity where others saw rubbish. And still, some of us were born to do whatever it is, specifically, that moves you.

Don’t waste your life fulfilling someone else’s dreams and desires. You must follow your intuition. Good luck and true wealth come naturally to those who are passionate about their work.

Establish relationships with people who share your interests.
If you’re already passionate about something, finding and connecting with others who share your passionate viewpoint can help you in numerous ways. You can tap into their knowledge on the topic, share your own ideas and experiences, and often share and learn things outside of your common interest area.

Make an extra effort to reach out to people who you’ve identified as having an interest overlap. If you happen to meet someone casually who has an interest overlap with you, don’t hesitate, jump on board with that connection. It can provide a great opportunity for you to build a friendship in an unexpected place.

Share your skills, ideas, and knowledge freely with others. If you’re already involved in a group with a particular interest, make an effort to reach out to newcomers. Not only will a friendly face help to encourage them to get involved, they’ll often hold you in high regard, as you’re the one who broke down some of that ‘newness’ barrier for them. Similarly, when people come to such meetings looking for help, don’t hesitate to assist in any way you can.

Help others out when you’re able.
Remember, in life, you get what you put in. Luck often comes in the form of help when you need it, and the best way to ‘grease the rails’ for help when you’ll eventually need it is by helping others right now. If you’re presented with an opportunity to help – particularly one that you can fulfill without infringing on your other responsibilities – the luckiest thing you can possibly do is help in every way you possibly can.

And when you help others, don’t expect something in return. Instead, just enjoy the experience of helping that person out and building a stronger personal relationship with them. That stronger relationship will be there for you later on in your time of need – just trust in it and be a helpful friend whenever you can.

Take calculated risks.
Lucky people take more risks. This doesn’t mean they gamble their livelihood by taking ill-advised risks on sketchy business opportunities. Taking a risk can be calculated – you weigh your options, know what you can afford to lose, and go for it. If it doesn’t work out, you go for it again when you can afford to lose a little more.

When you take small, calculated risks, either you succeed or you learn something. Win-Win. Remember, if you never act, you will never know for sure, and you will be left standing in the same unlucky spot forever.

Pay close attention to the present.
Unlucky people often dwell on mistakes from the past, obsessing about the bad luck that put them in their present unlucky situation, or they concern themselves too much with future ideals. Lucky people, on the other hand, concentrate on the present moment.

Life is happening right now. You can’t learn something new or uncover a new opportunity that’s happening now if your mind is stuck in another time. Opportunities present themselves every day, all around you, but you have to pay close attention to your surroundings to notice them.

Identify the lesson.
Everything is a life lesson. Everyone you meet, everything you encounter, etc. They’re all part of the learning experience we call ‘life.’

Never forget to acknowledge the lesson, especially when things don’t go your way. If you don’t get a job you wanted or a relationship doesn’t work, it only means something better is out there waiting. And the lesson you just learned is the first step towards it.

Remember, having good luck is a choice. Use all of the lessons you learn to make educated decisions and create good luck for yourself in the future.

Work toward your goals every day without fail.
The harder you work, the luckier you will become. Stop waiting around for things to work out on their own. They won’t. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.

While many of us decide at some point during the course of our lives that we want to answer our calling, only an astute few of us actually work on it. By ‘working on it,’ I mean truly devoting oneself to the end result. The rest of us never act on our decision. Or, at best, we pretend to act on it by putting forth an uninspired, half-assed effort.

If you want good luck in your life, you’ve got to be willing to give it 100% every day. No slacking off! Achieving your goals and dreams can be a lot of work. Be ready for it.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514331316613703235.post-51716660709548389412012-01-24T22:40:00.000+08:002012-01-24T22:40:14.209+08:0095 HAPPINESS

At the cusp of a new day, week, month or year, most of us take a little time to reflect on our lives by looking back over the past and ahead into the future. We ponder the successes, failures and standout events that are slowly scripting our life’s story. This process of self-reflection helps us maintain a conscious awareness of where we’ve been and where we intend to go. Carefully designed to minimise impact on the natural environment, it offers a unique rainforest experience. The resort is only 25 km or 30 minutes drive north of Kuching, the capital of Sarawak.

We stayed in treehouse number 8 and it was great! Clean, bright, spacious, tastefully decorated & actually quite luxurious inside. Nicely mosquito-proof with comfortable double bed plus two extra mattresses. Useful fridge and very nice bathroom with hot shower. Thoughtful kitchenette (with coffee, bring your own tea bags), mini-fridge, and updated bathroom, just imagine taking shower at 25 feet above the ground! I loved sitting out on the balcony listening to the sounds of the waves on the rocks below, watch the sunset and the nature's noises of the jungle.

From our treehouse it was a short walk past the jungle pool to beach number 2. The sands were white, the water tropical with yellow and zebra colored tropical fish and bright teal and purple rock crabs, and cute little mudskippers all around. We were the only ones on the beach for most of our time there. Though the sea water was warm, the forest pool was a clean crisp way to rinse & cool off before returning to the room.

One afternoon we took the loop trail through the jungle (about 2 hours). I think it was just right for us...moderate exercise, some ascents but not too tough. A fun rope bridge to cross a stream at one point. A waterfall at the midway point with cute little treefrogs about. We saw some wildlife, though mostly we heard them. Another night we hired a boat to go on the resort's offered evening Mangrove/crocodile watching/firefly outing which we enjoyed quite a lot...saw lots of proboscis monkeys, a few crocs and after dark the trees were sparkling with fireflies. It was fun to get out on the boat, but a thunderstorm was brewing so the captain let us off at Santubong village for safety(the sea was growing choppy), and the resort sent out a van to ferry us back.

The resort offers many tours and activities that are fairly priced discount on the Sarawak Cultural Village entrance & shoping, which is a 10 minute walk from Permai’s main gate. If you are staying a few days, Bako National Park is easily accessible from Permai and they also offer great river cruises to see Irrawaddy dolphins.

We liked the Rainforest Cafe. I would definitely recommend the local menu items over the western dishes, especially the freshly made juice drinks, delicious. Breakfast is included with choice of items off the menu including both Western or local food. In the evening the special Sarawak Laksa at first seemed pricey (18 RM...about $6), it was really yummy and came with a HUGE lobster sized rock prawn. Also their fruit smoothies were made on the spot and were delicious!

We enjoyed the beautiful beach and tide pools. The resort also has a rustic swimming pool that makes use of a fresh water steam that fills the two concrete pools nd then overflows into the sea. There are trails to explore on the complex with wildlife if you are up earlier enough in the morning. In the evening after a long day exploring and swimming the treehouse was a wonderful, relaxing spot to come home to. Very restful.

The aircon worked fine, but most of the time we just used the overhead fan and opened the doors with the screens drawn. A truly "Magical by Nature" place to stay, especially the tree houses are so delightful, you may never want to leave! Book your treehouse now!
